queensland Tallebudgera Creek help?

Hey all.

Over x-Mas ill have 3 days to explore Tallebudgera creek land based or in my Kayak.

I prefer lure fishing.

The simple thing is i just dont know anything about it and would appreciate any advice on locations and species. I have heard there are jacks and Trevs there and would like that to be my target species. But will of course be interested to see what else is on offer.

Fished it a bit while i lived down there and was the only place I caught jacks, used to use livies under the Gold coast hwy bridge heaps of rocks, got absolutely smashed a few times as well (so would assume lures would work as well), also if u take the road that runs past the bp it will take u to a canal that runs into the creek and there is some awesome structure there were they get good cod as well. Also heard of a lot of wild bass in the upper reaches, and according to some reliable sources don't mind a surface lure.

i was down that way earlier this year when that hit and run happened on the gc highway. and we fished there in gail force winds and still managed a fish (ON LURES) allthough it was a pike it still made half an hour of lure casting worth it.

hey angus

just find any bridge in the talle and you will find jacks but i only use livies, but have heard of heaps of people cathing big jacks on lures at night recently.

and there is also quite a few bullies getting around at the moment.
