Started of ok, left from beside the dog running area near the little jetty on my yak, paddled across to creek at mouth, the plan was to work SP's around the banks till the tide turned at 7.30 then work my way up the little creek working the snags.

All seemed to be going fine as picked up 3 little flatties 1 after the other around banks, all just under 35cm so released to do some more growing.

Once up around the snags in the creek is were it all fell apart. the place was crawling with yellow tail pike that played havoc with the SP's, and when i did manage to evade them and get a hookup i got blown away.

Total for the day was 3 small flathead 13 pike and 8 bustups that i couldn't stop on the 3kg gear i was using. So hopefully i will be planning a return trip in 2 weeks when the tide will be close to what they were today with my 6 & 8 kg out fits.

the Sp's that were working today was squidgie shads in 50 and 60 mm in killer tomato and silver fox.
