queensland Mullet in schools castnetting pine rivers

tonite spent 10 mins at leis park pine rivers boat ramp

1 cast of the net lands 4 nice mulllet satisfied with that called it. gonna try having a go at eating a fillet tomorro other then that good crab bait

Good looking mullet, dunno about that recipe of yours though, not the safest looking feed I've seen!

I do like sea mullet.

Never seen that method though.

I usually just use alfoil, butter, garlic, lemon.

That applies for nearly every fish!

nice one mate. I reckon mullet are heaps under-rated as a good eating fish. Not sure about the passionfruit tho!

didnt think the mullet flesh would be that good

General rule with mullet is is they are permanent river dwellers they are not so good.

The ones that come straight in from the ocean, or better yet caught from the ocean are dam nice to eat.

Guys there are heaps of Mullet and Bream around our Marina and Jetty's - More so then last year. the bream are tail slapping and boofing the surface like crazy.

lol sure

had plenty of passionfruit so far the experimental repipe is:

bit of oil in a foil

spoon a passionfruit add it

add the mullet fillet

grill flipping the usual

and presto your done if you die dont blame me lol

but it tasted great. you could taste the passionfruit but wasnt overpowering

looks like you may have a winner there calvor was wondering bout the taste , not over powering is a good result gotta try it out
