Fluoro line for baits under balloons?

Im looking at putting livebaits under my biggest combo tomorrow for spanish or cobia etc, it has 24kg fluoro yellow line on it, should i tie a length of some clear 80lb stuff on to that or just leave it and tie it straight to the wire rig? wire rig is under a metre long.

Wasnt sure peoples opinions on the fluoro putting fish off?

I didnt even order fluoro to start with but i ended up putting it on because i wanted to use the reel that weekend.

I'd go straight onto the trace.

Been using those types of lines all my life and never had any issues with it.

i would go straight to the trace as those speedsters will see the livey and smash it by this time the hook will be in,and the less joins you have the less likly the knotts will fail not that they would.

hey mate, we had a nice big trev under a baloona few weeks ago and jesus the noise when it got hit was awesome. never landed it but, called it for a big wahoo!! ( only cos we already had a spaniard int he box so would have liked more variety haha)
