This is thread is for people to discuss where they might be staying for the 2013 Summer Classic.

Last year the Boreen Point Camp site proved a great option and I am sure will be used by many again.

There is also talk of some people camping on North Shore.

Feel free to offer up more suggestions if you want or work out who is going to be where.

noosa nor6ht shore is the plan for My family and Ellicat.

accomodation is available there 22nd onwards. Cant get in on the 21st as there is a school group there.

we would prefer to have a large group camping with us for the social aspect.

LEt myself or Ellicat know. And we can book multiple sites.

i think you can still get to the campground by 2wd, last time i went up to teewah i only had a 2wd, parked out the front of the campground before the 3rd cutting and got picked up. sealed road went in past the campground gates.

best bet for anybody thinking of staying there would be to check with the manager if there are any 2wd accessible sites left when you book.

2wd access to the camp ground. Pub is just there for a feed.

Yes there is a small cost for the ferry. Nothing significant.

can launch boats frm that side of the river.

There is a shop for bits and pieces. Really should be no need for vehicles to go back and forth regularily so the cost is insignificant

Hey guys we have just booked the Noosa River Holiday Park, On Russel Street at Noosaville. It seems like a great location. We can even have a fish at night while we enjoy a beer. It has its own boat ramp as well. For those that are interested I think a couple of other people are also camping there as well.

its a great camp ground, did you book one of the riverfront sites? people leave their boats in the water there overnight all the time, the beach drops off pretty steeply as well so anchoring isn't really a problem.

i might pop up on the friday or saturday evening, won't be competing, the recent weather cost me in lost hours at work so money has gotten a little tight.

Christine and I have booked there as well. We have been there for our camping holidays the last 3 years. Fantastic spot, where we discovered fishing!

Gents, the fella I usually deckie for is my house mates brother. My house mate is starting to get into fishing, and I'd like to encourage this behavioral change by giving up my deckie spot so he can fish.

If any one has a spot for me so all off us can fish that would be rad.

He's not gonna be too upset if he misses out, but I thought I'd check this option out...
