queensland bris river bassing 9/2/14

myself and 3 mates from work decided to hit up a new section of the river. we arrived at our new spot at 4am I was the first on the water and had 2 fish in the yak before anyone else was on the water . by the time everyone was on the water I had 3 fish on the score board all around the 35cm mark. as it started to get lighter I could see a large fallen tree in the middle of the river I fire a cast along the trunk. it wasn't long before the water exploded after being towed around for e few minuets my pb bass was in the yak with me

as I am calling steve over to take a photo he tell me he has a pb bass on board 42cm

at this time steve head down river and I continued up river to find 2 more fish around the 40cm mark. after this I padded down to see how the other boys are doing. when I get the I find joel with a pb bass of 48cm

his second fish ever on lure.

as I am taking joels photo steve paddles over with a new pb of 48cm

all fish caught on surface lures. once that bight went no other fish were landed.

What was the favoured surface lure of the day?

dogx accounted for 6 fish, savage 50mm popper bagged 3 fish and some other cheap popper got 3 fish.

Could have done your mate a favour, and cut out the hot pink yak when taking the photo of his PB bass

yeah we give him heaps about it. but its not his its a mates girlfriends yak.

lol logged onto the forums for the first time in yonks only to see my ugly mug on the screen. was an awesome day fishing, chris with his 53cm monster and me and joel coming in with 48cm buties, cant ask for too much more than that
