Well turns out it's ok after rain.

Headed to North Moreton wanting to catch some squid. None.

Checked out a couple of my secret spots but not much doing do I decided to look at Four Beacons for tuna or whatever and as I passed Curtain I noticed everyone was sitting north of the reef and not on it so I stopped for a few drifts.

Had a few solid hook ups but got rubbed off as the fish were sitting tight on structure. Lost prob a dozen leaders and jig heads to snags trying to entice the fish to bite.

Finally pulled one out

Bigger knob on its head than even mine!

Of course a few blokes saw me pull it in and they aren't educated in the fine art of not going full throttle a dozen times directly above where you want to fish so it shut down soon after.

I reckon these snaps are always round curtain but get pushed off the reef when it's busy and if you fish well away from the other boats, usually more than 100 metres outside the reef boundaries you'll find them.

Prob could have found the fish again but one is enough for a mad feed of fish and chips tonight.

looks a bit like it in the photo but actually the opposite.....was quite a solid model and was surprisingly heavy for it's length.
