Albert River

Thanks to those for the tips on the Albert River, went there on Sunday and again yesterday me and a mate got one little bass each and I had about 5-6 stirkes. They were both between 30-35cm, not that large but heaps of fun on surface and only 20mins from home. Thanks again for the tips. We only fished in one spot near the weir to, and there looks like some real nice snags both above and below, but its a treck through the scrub and Shawn and I both found ticks on us later in the day. I seen something real big smash the surface on the other side of the bank (couldnt cast far enough though) There is heaps of surface action birds, bugs, lizards, so went and stocked up on poppers yesterday might give the fly a go to, we'll have to go there in next week or two cause Stu said he'd like to have a look to.

Nice bass mate, its a ripper of a spot Brian found. Would love to get the yak down there found a spot to launch above the wall but not below it yet, will keep exploring

yeah a yak would be the go for sure, i reckon you could launch one at the weir but it would be a mission gettin down that track though.
