I couldn't watch once there was a chance of NSW cracking the half century, So i decided that doing the ironing for the week was more enjoyable than watching out the game.

Going to divert the news....reading about how the mid week pacific island test matches such as NZ, PNG, FIJI, Tamoa etc will be scrapped due to Channel 9 wanting Origin back on Wednesdays.

I'm really disappointed in that (as is wayne), more needs to be done to grow league in these nations where they breath rugby league.

An uncharacteristic, first 60 minutes performance put in by the Storm…. With the Storm  having had 10 of 17 players heavily involved in last week end’s rep round, and being able to finish the match with that score line…I think the bigger concern would be with the Sea Eagles camp…

Anyone think they should name Ben Hunt the full time number 7 instead of wasting interchanges getting him and harry grant in / out of the game?

I just haven't seen DCE step up for QLD in the big moments. I know the QLD no 7 is big shoes to fill!

That'd be a big call. I'm not sure if Hunt is any better than DCE at half, although he is having a good season at the Dragons. Wouldn't like to see him under a high ball from kick off. haha

From what I've read/heard the Broncos got Walsh for about $450k when he could have had $2.8 over 3 years ($900+ per year) at the Dolphins. Staggering difference in money and to be honest, very surprising he'd be willing to take the much lower offer. As a Broncos fan, I'm extremely happy (I think they'll play him at five eighth and he'll form a nice contrast/combo with Reynolds) and it's very encouraging that a player of his calibre chose to come here for much less money. Looking forward to 2023 .

They've already saved some money by getting rid of Isaako and have a few more likely to leave or retire.

Gah I timed that badly... We are heading off on our trip to the cape next Thursday. Leaving Brisbane at about 3-4am. I cant be dusty so will probably sit at home wishing I was drinking beers with mates as I watch the game.

What's the weather / track conditions going to be like this time of year. I have a friend from Rocky that just set off for the cape this week on a 5 week trip. Last check they were stopping over at Winton

I was the same. Also had the same feeling about the Knights tonight once I heard Nicholls and Johnston were out - time will tell ..... Was also bemused at Souths naming Kikorima at lock (he's about the size of my left N#T ...) but that turned out to be lucky with Ilias getting HIA'd out of the game .....

Not confirmed yet (RAT was positive, waiting for PCR result) but highly likely. Oates called in and looks like Dearden will be the other inclusion (either straight into starting side or otherwise on the bench with Hunt in halves and Grant at hooker. Munster would be a HUGE loss!!!!

I wish they'd get rid of some of the decision makers outside the team. We're going to lose Jock Madden and Jake Simpkin (our future spine) because of poor recruitment decisions. We've signed Korisau who will last maybe 1 or 2 seasons before he retires. In the meantime Simpkin will go to the Dolphins or Broncos for sure. If we'd ditched Brooks, when we had the chance in the off season, we'd have given Madden a much longer go at half before Douhie came back and maybe kept him interested. Now he will probably end up at the Dolphins as well. These decisions to sign 'senior' players must stop - it's no wonder we lose all our juniour talent. So frustrating.

The QRL announced on Saturday morning that PCR swabs have confirmed both Cameron Munster and Murray Taulagi have COVID-19 and will miss Wednesday's Origin decider. The pair had earlier returned positive Rapid Antigen Tests on Friday and been isolated from the rest of the squad. Broncos Winger Corey Oates and Cowboys playmaker Tom Dearden will both come into the Maroons 17, with the final line-up still to be confirmed.

Agree 100%. The amount of good players they have let go in the last 6 years.

I didn't watch the game but the Tigers did alright with a scoreline

that high. I was expecting a white wash.

They were much improved on the past few games. Lead 12/zip at one stage then had someone sent to the sin bin. Parra scored 3 or 4 tries in 11 minutes just before and after half time.

I didn't get that depressed feeling for a change. haha
