Apparantly there are still large numbers of GT's and Big Eyes in the seaway.

I have also seen very good reports of GT's at Noosa.

I looove trevally pitty i havnt caught many.. hmm bit hard landbased around brisbane but ive got my ideas.

Not sure, didn't have any scales big enough to weigh the thing.

Went 129cm so would have cracked fifty pounds comfortably.

Much pain on 8kg tackle.

It was when he was using the "porly" username.

Its still around somewhere. It was a post about fishing the Brisbane River wharves from memory. So not sure how the fish was relevant. But yeah thats where it appeared.

Feral,they are quite common over there hungry little buggers will take anything,caught one on an emty hook once while fishing for Whiting

white trevally - taste pretty good too. grow to about 2kg in local waters, fight hard. found mostly around rock walls/headlands and reef drop offs.

Mostly only ever caught dart of the rocks over there. But its also been nearly 30 years since I fished there as well!

damn i caught one on the second of may i think it was it was a 32cm golden trevally from the mouth of the brisbane river whilst jigging a plastic. unfortunately no photo:(

they are very hit and miss. only appear sometimes, but when they are there you'll have a ball. they eat anything you throw at them, plastics, slugs, bait of all descriptions... i found a school off cape moreton not that long ago and caught in excess of 100 fish in a day, most released.
