NPD's deepest spots?

Just out of curiosity, would anyone know some of the deeper spots of this dam? Is there a deep hole out there somewhere?

ha ha good luck on this one. I only know of a decent drop off around McGavin's but everyone knows about it. I think most of the good spots require some serious trecking to get to.

There is plenty all round the dam just keep walking and casting counting down your lures you will come across plenty

Me and my mate George had a great spot 5km about a 45min walk from Forgans but now the new signs and banners are up we cant get there. It wasent unusual to get 50 bass a day there with 6 bass out of six casts being the best, we gat around 30 50cm+ fish there with the biggest being 58cm. But inbetween forgans and bullocys rest that I recon got up to 40ft in casting distance.

Deepest I've fished is Monduran at 120 foot. That is only at 30% capacity, so add another 20 foot to that when full.

Baroon is 110 foot deep in the middle when full.

I have had 129ft on the sounder at Baroon and if I can remember Lee has found a spot deeper

I've found at wivenhoe in the river channel a 50metre(160ish feet) section recently and thats at only roughly 24% capacity

dose that mean it would be like 200m when the dam is 100% to capacity

nah going by the high water marks it looks roughly another 20mteres or so, hard to tell when sitting in a canoe looking up

deeper doesnt necesarily mean better though does it? when we used to do the swim troll at np there were some spots just at the mouth of some of the arms that used to just drop forever, it was scary thinking of how many stories of water there were beneath you...

there's a spot at somerset which is about 45m deep along the river channel...
