Just wondering if anyone has had any success catching bass in tallabbudgera creek or currumbin creek?

i hav egot a small bass in currumbin creek years ago when fishing for jacks on a gold bommer

I got 37cm and a 35cm bass about an hour in tallebudgera creek christmas last year but have not had much luck since. Both took river2sea bubblepop 45's

yeah caught my first bass in tallebudgera there is a healthy little population of wild fish between the dam wall and the brackish

Dont forget its still closed season for bass outside the stocked impoundments.

That is something that is still falling on deaf ears...I was in a tackle store yesterday (large multichain franchise) and was talking to two guys who work there.

Turns out they were both Bass fishing last week in the local river...I mentioned the closed season and they knew nothing about it.

Its a sad world when tackle store employees dont know the regulations.

yea tally creek is awesome, i have never fished fresh water butmy mate that lives at currumbin has picked up plenty on plastics and hardbodies up there including his pb of 45cm to the fork i think he said. go give it a try.

thats a very good point - but as someone who was once an avid collector of fishing mags and literature, and has since stopped, where does one now come across this info of closed seasons and changing legislation?

unless you are a net junkie with time to burn and searches to be had it could be difficult. do they send info out in pamphlets?

i'm an ex gold coaster who has done the very same thing, and rays comment was the first i've heard of that closed-season as well, so i kinda feel bad now.

I did put up a post on the forum at the start of the closed season the closure is from first of june till thirtyfirst of august.

The info is also published on dpi website and in their publications.
