Shattered.... I went out this morn and got three tailor at the spit and gave em all to an old fella there for a feed and didn't take pics

im a bit shattered too..i dropped one boatside at the bream n snapper comp that would have been pushing 60cm i reckon:blink:

i was reading a report from the noosa river mouth, one was caught and released that measured 76cm, there is a photo if i can i might put it on here this arvo so you guys can have a look.

I was fishing with STU a fair while ago near Jacobs well and he got a beast. I reckon if the kayakers at the Kayak meet want to venture towards the pin a bit they would bbe in with a serious chance.

Heck yeah that would be a horse tailor.

I remember years ago an old bloke showing me once a piccy of a horse tailor he got off Fingal Beach. It would have to have been at least as big as the one mentioned above, if not more. One shot showed it in his beach fishing bag (typical shoulder job), and nearly half the fish was poking out still!:woohoo:

Was watching Bris 31 on Monday night, a show called Adventure Bound...they were fishing for Tailor (not sure where?).

They caught some huge ones on poppers and slugs in what looked like an estuary mouth. The fish caught would have been at least 75cm, likely bigger.

As far as local ones go, it will be interrsting to see how big we can manage this month.

Tailor actually grow to around 30lbs but not many caught above 10-15lbs these days, there was a 16lb monster caught around the bribie bridge late last year. my biggest was around the 4.5kg mark and went 78cm

might have one somewhere, a few years back. got him on a full ganged pilly off currimundi/kawana area beach. not that uncommon up this way

Better get out my lucky slug and try get a good tailor. Its got scratches all over it and has caught about 30 tailor and 1 salmon. Just where to go dont know many spots around Brisbane that produce big tailor. Rocket75 I also saw that they caught some massive tailor. It is also on Saterday 8:30pm I started to watch it a few months back.

Nice tailor off the surface bretto!!. Gonna do a report? i got my first legal tailor today lol, all 33cm of it, on a 3inch prong.

well I bagged one about 25cm today... so slightly smaller than jimmy's :blush:

not bad for 30 minutes of fishing though :laugh:

lol sorry Dino, despite the rod being buckled over a million times, fish under 40-50cm on 4lbs rarely take any drag

I've got 3 x 60cm tailor caught last Friday week by the two mates I was fishing with. But they aren't memebers so I guess they don't count :woohoo:
