how do u tie braid to leader is it the same knots u use to tie mono or are there diffrent knots for braid

I use an Albright knot.

It gives a good straight line contour as well as provides a smooth flow through the rod eyes.

Quite an easy knot too tie once you have done it a couple of times.

I don't seem to have any issues with it failing at the join.

Pretty much the same knots (uni-uni and albright). There are others, but those work fine. Just make sure you double the about of wraps that you do with the braid to stop it slipping

so all knots u do with mono u can do with braid is this right

Pretty much, I can't think of any that can't. Maybe the Surgeons Joining knot? I dunno, but yeh, nearly every knot can be used with either line. Just make sure you double the wraps with the braid. ie I usually do 5 wraps when joinging mono to mono with the uni-uni knot; but with braid I do 5 wraps in the mono, and 10 in the braid.

More or less, need a turn or two more in braid for some knots so they dont slip.

I use the albright knot for braid to mono and wrap at least 12 times ,I haven't used another knot because Iv'e found this knot to be very strong for this application.

I use a bimini twist with a tony jones knot to join leader. I have always had trouble with albright knots but i think it is just how i tie them.
