queensland Lake Maroon deckie required

With the weather being to crap over the next few days to visit the bay I was thinking about a day trip to Lake Maroon. Maybe even an over nighter in Boonah if the fish are jumping on the hooks. Thursday / Friday / Sat this week,

I was gonna take the cruise craft and a yak but I don't have a deckie.....anyone want to join me? Thursday / Friday / Sat this week, pick a day.

Very tempting Brian and could take Thursday/Friday off for an overnighter but the weathers looking very ordinary for both days.

Anytime next week would have been good for an over nighter.

weather's pretty good for jewie hunting for those who know what they are doing. also i've got a few mates having success on huge yellowish looking catfish at the moment.

Mate if u want yellowish catfish(only god knows why!!) try fishing the Logan river!! Its full of them!!

really? nice

my mate got a 118cm yellowish cattie last night casting mask vib landbased. he told me it even jumped 2 times during the fight. i've got heaps but never got them to jump.

so are the yellowish cattie in logan river good size?

Yeah Ive caught them up to and over 60cm though I dont target them.

Im sure there would be much bigger models out there if one went looking!

Are you sure it was not a threadfin salmon? There are threadies in the Logan and Albert (not as many as Brissy but I am told that is where the Brissy ones came from this time around)

No worries Dazz you can have the thread, right now It's too wet and windy to consider Maroon, but you have got a deckie spot when we go, maybe the following Saturday.
