queensland North Pine Dam (Lake Samsonvale) 20/01/07

Saturday the 20th January 2007 i will walking the banks of NP after those jumbo bass. I would really like a Yellowbelly as well.

I will be leaving home at 4:00am for a bout a 5:00am first cast. (factoring the walk into my favourite spot).

Anyone welcome to tag along.

Ill be only lure fishing, and more than likely moving around a bit, depending on the consistency of hits.

Mate ill be parking at Forgans cove.

From there its a very short walk to some great fingers of land that drop off steeply into the water.

Dont wear your best shoes! Some of the ground is like quick sand due to the water level dropping so rapidly.

My Fishing rod spat the dummy tonight.It broke..

but I scored two 30cm Bass before it gave in.

Looks like a good reason to get a new one....

yep im in. Should i use a stiffer rod or one with more flex? both have bout the same load bearing. bringing some gulp (pumpkin seed).

well everyone else is tossing lures...

I would most likely go for the flexable one.

Hook one of those big buggers and watch it put a bend in ya rod!!!

Bring the plastics and see how ya go..I tried a few this morning and didnt have much luck but I only had about 6 cast before the rain showed up..

Yeah Travis id say maybe the whippy one would be fine.

Especially for the plastics.

If you were using something like Jakals i would maybe reccomend the stiffer rod.
