[RESOLVED] cant open stumpjumper thread

for some reason after i posted a peply i cant get into the stumpjumper post anymore. any ideas why this is?

Just tried it - Looks to be working ok.

It errors here. Seems to happen only when a link or video are posted. Works fine in firefox but in IE it errors.

Same here, I cant open it either. I occasionally have threads that I cant open, I just move on and ignore that one.

It is an Internet Explorer issue. It works fine in FF3.

Seriously though give FF3 a crack. Some of the menus etc are a bit different, but once you get over that the speed increase over IE7 is so noticeable that you will wonder why you ever used Explorer! :laugh:

I appreciate the advice werewolf, but you may as well have said it in Hungarian. I have no idea what you're talking about. I'm and old fart with very basic computer skills.

Try using Firefox 3 instead of Internet Explorer

It really is better than Internet Explorer. You just have to be prepared to have a go, and get used to it.

Agree as well. I'd never even heard of it until a few months ago. Now I dunno why IE is still the most commonly used :S

The last version of Internet explorer I used was 3. I was a beta tester for 4, and thought it was such a slow pig compared to 3, I went to Opera, then I moved on from there to firefox when they stuffed up the mail side of Opera.

Because it is made by MS, the biggest software vendor in the world, it becomes known as the standard product! It also comes packed with Windows and you need Explorer to access windows update (unless you use auto-update).

IE sets itself as the default program. Firefox has been better for years, tabbed browsing was one of the many things microsoft pinched. Even google chrome will get a run before the monopolising super rich bug ridden giant explorer on my pc.

You do not need IE anymore for windows updates. There are firefox plugins (from Microsoft).

Firefox is slowly clawing its way into the browser market, and IE is down to 60-odd%

IE just comes prebundled with Windows - which is something that could changing in Windows 7. EU has pointed fingers at Microsoft claiming its not competitive, which really, it's not. Many features in Windows 7 will be able to be disabled/uninstalled including Internet Explorer.

At least in Europe, the latest rumours are that Windows 7 might even come with an alternative browser.
