hey,do any of you guy's fish the Pinkenba area??

and if so what do you catch??

I'm starting a new job down that way and was thinking about packin me fishin gear for a few after work sessions.Is it worth my while or a waste of time??Thanx

At the sunken wall, across from the bp refinary, we catch big bream (30cm), sand crabs, sting rays, and big flathead (50-65cm). But I can't say much for the rtest of the area.

do I need a boat to access the sunken wall?

I was more swinging towards bank fishing...

I have caught some nice flathead along boggy creek and there is a good spot for bream not far from Pinkenba bait and tackle where I fished during the classic, its all land based

Yeah you need a boat for the main sunken wall.

But many years ago you used to be able to get in beside the sewage plant, and there is a small sunken wall there you can fish from the bank, as well as the wall up along the sewage outlet (I dont think you can on to of the outlet anymore, we used to fish off that at well)

Throughout Pinkenba you will find good Flathead. If I went I'd be usaing 12-16lb leader 4lb main and 1/4oz Jigheads with 3-4inch plastics. I wouldn't bother about going at Low Tide either the weed is far too annoying.

boggy creek is good, some nice bream and flathesd to be caught, because i work for a catering company i often deliver food to areospace at pinkenba and if its my last delivery of the day the boss lets me stay up there and fish:woohoo: and its very rare that i would return home without any fish

hey guy's I checked out down around the boggy creek and the bp refinery theres plenty of water but couldnt find any half decent places or acesses to fish from the bank. ..any help???

did u come across the footbridge at boggy creek? i fish off the rocks next to the bridge and thers lots of banks to the right and left of the footbride, but i did pass there today and those banks were covered by water due to the very big tides so thats probably why u didnt see any decent banks

sounds not too bad mate will go when i have a free weekend been keen to get to the lower river.
