Squidgy pro with (s-factor) vs gulp for flathead

i was wondering which soft plastic brand is better for flathead or are they both about the same both about the same Squidgy pro with (s-factor) or gulp.

mate don't think you need a scented lure for flatties. I find gulps in the salt get murdered by toadies anyway. All my recent flatties have been on unscented squidgies

mate I used to use the gulp nucelar chicken jerk shad all the time for flattys however when down at Yamba the locals used a small squdgy slick rig which smashed them down there. I really do not think it matters with flatty. they are ambush fish so u get something in front of them the will hit it.

I reckon different times for different plastics myself, I have had alot of luck on the squidgeys myself but then again I have also slayed em on the Gulp shrimps. So personal choice is the answer.

Anything at all waved in front of a flathead is going to be ambushed... they are predators on smaller fish. Just make it 'swim' likes is a little dying morcel and whammo...... fish on!

Personally nothing beats 3 inch Gulp grubs in pumpkinseed.

But saying that, not long landed 20 packs of Damiki to try out.

I prefer 3 inch gulp shrimps in any colour personally, but after reading the crazy blokes response about small squidgy slick rigs, I'll be trying that next.

you cant beat squigys with s factor for flathead 100mm squidgy fish in black and gold and bloodworm wriggler best lures in the world

That's like saying - What is better Ford or Holden.

I personally like gulps in 7inch thats suits my type of flattie fishing with big jigheads. The 6inch gulp grubs are pretty good too.

Online somewhere is last years most used lures and plastics in the flathead classic.

Try both and enjoy

I dont think flathead are that fussed on brands.

I always have a pack 4in gulp pumpkin seed minnows and 80 or 100mm squidgy wrigglers in my tackle box because I am confident if there are flatties around I know I have a chance. But in saying that I believe it's the way you retrieve the lure and choosing the correct jighead for the conditions that catches the fish, not so much the colour or artificial scent.

so its probably better if i get a packet of 100mm Squidgy fish and wrigglers and gulp 3inch shrimp and 4 inch pumkin seeds

pretty much flathead would have a go at anything that moves, ive caught most of my flatties with some sort of plastic slow rolling it on the bottom and i totally agree with werewolf toadies love the gulp.
