believe it or not it went for a Mann's curly tailed grub in pink...haha and i bought them as back up for a dollar a pack haha...but yea iv gotten one biga then that but he toke me into the weed...i site fish them

i thought the cold would have made the tilapia go off the bite.....hope they are not evolving to handle all weather:unsure:

Good size Tilapia. Must have been a reasonable fight.

Word of warning though (in case you're not aware) - if you are caught in possession of them there's a pretty hefty fine involved ($150,000 max). Might be a bit harder to swallow than their tasty flesh.

There ya go... i've learn't something today.. After a look at my fish identification book confirms all of the above. ( I don't know anything about fresh water fish or fishing for that matter) but you guys have me interested in these bass at NP.

Master Sardine.

The bass are still out at Pine Dam. They are harder to find than a few weeks ago but they are there.

Managed 11 this AM the best being 42cm.

So much fun. Most on soft plastics.

Pine Dam also has tilapia up to 2kg plus. I know cos I have caught a few.

It wasnt easy Stu and I had to admit defeat on the spinnerbaits and I actually caught most of them on plastics. (All colours) ( My new friends)HA HA

plastics are the go in think that the fish there may have seen too many spinnerbaits and crankbaits in resent times sounds like you had a good morning dino

ALRITE! you guys have convinced me to try this fresh water fishing. Not knowing the dam can someone give me a pointer on where to go? I was near the dam wall the other week with the family and saw a couple kids fishing just down from the picnic area. But wouldn't know how to get down there.

Just head on down past the toilet block at McGavin View and follow the bank left or right and dont pass any flagged areas.

The fish are there in deeper spots while the water is clear.

Throw as far out as you can into the deep.
