My first Bully :)

Chris (christophagus), my little brother and I went out on saturday a bit before lunch to try for some more bullies @ Schultz Canal, and hopefully my first. We tried for some live bait with zero success so we decided to just use some slabs of eel. An hour with only 2 pike eels being boated we were starting to cook in the hot sun.

Then we watch as one of the lines moves quickly against the tide to the front of the boat, then moves quickly again to behind the boat, then under the boat then under the anchor line. Chris said to us both look at that, there is a bully on the line. Chris set the hook and hands me the rod. The poor 2kg bream rod had some serious bend in it and after a short fight up came my first Bully

Shortly after the reel screams off, Chris sets the hook again and gives it to my brother, up comes his first bully. Needles to say we were both over the moon with the catches. We called it a day and went home to watch some (disappointing) cricket.

Firsts are always good but there's just something about your first shark!

I got myself a good 8 footer out in the bay with Madmullet but I am still yet to land one of the smaller ones out of one of the rivers. Still haven't figured out the little buggers!

I like the schultz area, haven't caught anything from it yet but it's peaceful and not busy most of the time. Easy place to go and throw a few lures.

Nice Bully think i caught his little brother today just off Donneybrook . Guess i need to start somewhere. i would have liked to see the fight yours put up mine kept jumping out of the water put on a good display for the only catch of the day
