On Thursday I purchased 200 large shrimp to take to Awoonga.( $100 )

They were beauties most around 3 inches long.

Isplit them into 2 batches putting 150 in my large tank and 50 in the smaller tank.

Been checking them twice a day and up to yesterday morning had only lost about 10.

Forgot to check them yesterday arvo and went to Boaties market this am so didnt check them till around 9am.

The water in the big tank was all cloudy and all the shrimp were dead.

The filter was still going ok but the air pump had died.

I now only have around 40 odd shrimp left.

$75 down the gurgle.

I think that all of Ferals died and only half of mine.

Wife has also cracked on as I threw all the dead ones under the lemon tree and boy do they pong.

What were you hoping to catch in Awoonga on shrimp? (I'm guessing they are too small for barra...)

They were for barra. I paid a premium for large shrimp.

One small conselation is that not ALL of them died...but still a big bummer.

Heres hoping that all of the survivors are given a fitting funeral in the guts of a trophy Barra...you deserve some luck after this.

I still reckon the catties would eat 4 week old shrimp.

Yeh some fish go for the really really old stuff, but it's not to pleasant for people... haha.

That sucks loosing them all, and throwing them in the yard?! Haha, you have to wrap them and bin them really well, cause they will absolutley reek.
