Got one of my own back yesterday

1391 days (3.8yrs) for a growth of 2cm. Was is a healthy looking bass Ray?

Also - is this growth rate expected when they get to this size?

That bass must have had a look at you and thought to itself "not this bloke again"

when they gearound the 50cm mark they tend to get fatter rather than longer,Looked in good condition weighed 3kg aprox. Bled a bit from tag site where I twisted it to clean to read the tag number.

To be fair, Ray, you have probably caught most of the fish ever released in that dam. Love your work - not only do you introduce newbies to the joys of fishing, you are a true citizen scientist.

ha whoops. Totally missed the detail that it was a yella and not a bass.

I know exactly how many fish I’ve tagged.

My best year was just under 2000 in 2004. Has dropped off considerably over last few years due to suntag unable to supply tags and then they stopped allowing the tagging of bass in NPD> I did not even renew my membership this year

That must be very disappointing Ray. I think you are fantastic and doing a great job.
