Oh! Jeez! I wondered why that name sounds familiar! He has a YouTube channel where he catches Jacks in the Brisbane River and I follow him on Instagram!!!

I hope he is found safe and alive.

Was reading that article this morning. Makes me feel ill thinking about it.

I hope for a miracle here too.

This is a timely reminder for everyone about boating safety. Sounds like he is a seasoned fisherman and goes to show accidents can happen to anyone.

 

Safety lanyard/deadmans switch at all times when under motor and a lifejacket at all times when fishing solo.

 

Please don't let this happen to you and your loved ones. I hope we never have an AFO member on the news for an incident like this.

I was across that way late yesterday arvo /  last night when the search was going on.  Unfortunately couldn't offer any assistance or information.

Very bad news and a timely reminder of why when fishing alone you should always wear a life jacket and have the kill switch lanyard attached to your outboard.  These two things may have saved this poor young man

I was out on Wednesday and although the forecast wasn’t to bad it was extremely rough out there, the swell was huge, I headed over to Moreton early and came back about 1-2 and headed to mud when it calmed down and literally glassed off, I didn’t see that boat, they said they found it at 330, but he may have come into trouble earlier in rough conditions, hoping for a miracle and he’s found
