Hahahah in years gone by teams could sometimes sustain / hold their line with 1 in the bin, seems the rules and speed of the game have made the 10 in the bin an almost certain loss. Either through points conceded during the 10 or getting completely gassed at the end of the game.

I guess what i'm saying is 10 in the bin is too harsh a penalty and ruins the spectacle. I reckon put it on report and deal with it at the judiciary.

Latest team news

Queensland

The QRL announced on Saturday morning that PCR swabs have confirmed both Cameron Munster and Murray Taulagi have COVID-19 and will miss Wednesday's Origin decider. The pair had earlier returned positive Rapid Antigen Tests on Friday and been isolated from the rest of the squad. Broncos Winger Corey Oates and Cowboys playmaker Tom Dearden will both come into the Maroons 17, with the final line-up still to be confirmed.

Munster is the big loss. I think bringing Oates will be a great benefit to the team, given his form this year. And he almost acts as an extra forward at times.

Does Joey have a coaching / mentor role with the blues camp?

Actually good to hear him speak his mind and show that he does care about origin.

@ellicatSheens and Marshall to coach the tigers? What do you think, matched made in heaven? Or no sane current coach would take the gig, so that had to blood a rookie?

Pretty smart by Marshall - its pretty much a 2 year trial period. If he likes what he sees he stays on, if there is no progress at the tigers he can quit and go back to fox commentary

I think they should have signed Flanagan if he was interested. Apart from 2003 to 2005, Sheens' coaching record at the Tigers wasn't great. Nor was his record at the Cowboys. However, he is experienced and the players seemed to gel with him, so maybe player retention will be better. He was also good with developing younger players.

The 5 year plan is risky and I don't like the idea, but plans can/do change. A wait and see is the only option and I will still be hopeful each game.

hahaha makes you question how much of the "genius" play was him or the pills.

Definitely cooked / missing something but makes for different commentary point of view rather then the cookie cutter mold.

Cowboys 12  vs. 26 Sharks

Eels 28  vs. 18 Warriors
for much of the match there was no certainty, but the Eels got the 2 points on offer….

Roosters 54  vs. 26 Dragons
all up, 13 trys, 12/13 conversions, and 2/2 penalty goals…..

Sea Eagles 42  vs. 12 Knights

Hmmm, the eagles are yet to be tested by a double spread of duck shot… just musing, of course

Titans 12  vs. 16 Broncos
the Broncos with key players out, and 57 missed tackles still kept the Lego Titans boxed…

Sunday, July 17

Tigers 16  vs. 18 Panthers
turned into a cat fight….

Storm 16  vs.  20 Raiders
Raiders stand tall at AMII Park… again.

Bulldogs 28  vs. 36 Rabbitohs
