Can we just delay the competition end date until the second of next month? Thanks. I just ordered a new boat but it probably won’t be ready until near the end of the month, and I need at least two days if I’m to beat the southsiders on my own.

North side looking strong, just need the weather to swing our way! + I agree with not taking little fingers for measurement. Southsiders would have an advantage with there tiny appendages.

I went out to Mud then the Port area today.

Managed a feed and a couple of entries for the snapper - 1 x 52 and 1 x 46. I didn't measure the rest.

Your kiddin Brian, the bigger barred javelin will start coming in about now, I will have to change plans, maybe I will switch to Toorbul and fish for whiting, have to change the date as well, need a high tide at Toorbul.

So who can i petition to get them on next years list

I wouldn’t be changing plans @fatboyYou might pick up some bycatch for the comp, but hard to beat barred grunter for a feed. What size do you get around there?

Hi Old Scaley, mostly catch the spotted javelin in Ningi Ck, caught them up to 52cms to the fork of the tail, mostly around mid thirties but, also catch the barred javelin but not as regular as the spotties, largest barred i have caught was 62cms to the fork of the tail, Grandson caught one 65cms a couple of years ago.

Your right, the barred taste better then the spotties but I wouldn't knock back a feed of spotties dipped in rice flour and shallow fried in olive oil, good stuff.

Well, I headed out with that Northsider @benno573 for a sneaky session last night. Two entries to Benno, with a 49cm snapper and a 36cm breambo.

I was fortunate enough to jag my PB flathead, too - 73.5cm.

In your submission be sure to include plenty of detail about where, when and how to catch them to have the best chance it will be accepted .. .
