What sounder would you buy

Well i am after a new sounder for my 5m tinne as i have just worked out the one the boat came with an it a deep,deep sounder to 500m looking from a under $250one cheers

mate all decent sounders will read to that sort of depth, it should still read perfectly fine in shallow water

What sounder are you currently running and what cone angle is the transducer?

If it is a quality sounder it may be better to just get a wide angle transducer for shallow work.

$250 will only get you an average black and white sounder of you are set on a new one save your money and get a colour one. For $500 you can get a good one from the states.

If you dont want to buy from the states have a look at the garmin 169c doesnt have a great pixel count but it is dual beam that will suit shallow water Bias sell them for around $350.

Well Garmin's website says RRP $270US

I'm getting it at $230. Can't say that's the normal price, I think I'm getting a deal from this guy:)
