Hey guys its been a while since i was last on here working 2 jobs does that too u Just wondering has anyone ever caught a whiting in the fresh water? I was down at tingalpa creek the other day and we were really close to the dam wall and we managed a allmost legal whiting out. I didnt know that whiting could handle brackish. The reason i would like to know is they would look cool ina tank. Also there are some monster bream down there that love to smash lures. Saying that im yest to get a catfish or talapia there, i was getting bitten off by eels using a 14lb leader the other day.

whiting and bream are both fish that can be aclimatised to fresh water.

well during BRC06 I castnetted a nice winter whiting at Kookaburra. Never seem em up that far before...

if i get another one they would make a greaqt tank mate for my barra.

You wouldn't be able to admire it for long;) . The Barra would find it a very tasty mate as well.
