Price: $65.

Included: Boat or Canoe, Bait, Rod & Reel, Guidence to where the fish have been biting.

If you have any more questions now is the time to ask as ill be speaking with Steve again tonight.

Cheers.

Just a thought.

What are we doing afterwards? I know that Steve appreciates a hand putting his gear back on the trailer but after that how about a barbie or will everyone be too tired after catching fish all morning. There are good barby spots on the eastern side of the dam plus a nice cafe but we will have to drive around as the road over top of dam is still closed.

Just thought it would be nice to wind down and have a chat and meet Brians deckies in the flesh. ( flesh being the operative word)

Will bring my camera to take some callendar shots. ( deviate)

Ray i think thats a great idea.

However lets leave it as a BYO food and drink scenario.

This way if anyone wants to scoot off they can.

Im sure considering the crew we will get a reasonable number hanging around.

Also a gentle reminder to those that have not confirmed what type of water craft they would prefer, i really need to let Steve know as he does need to get it all there is a couple of trips, so i dont want him making any for gear thats wont get used!

Timbo - Ill do my best to get you a canoe. But note that 6 are already spoken for. I have a feeling that there might be 6 on offer. I hope a tinny (small and slectric powered) would be sufficient as a last resort?

Angus

Sure mate. I'm fine with anything.

Nelson is your mate going?

But I think I'll have a canoe anyway.

Thanks

hey mate, nah my mate cant come as he has work on that day. so yeh, if there are any canoes left id be up for sharin with u. however, if there are no canoes left i am sweet with a tinny, though a canoe wud be my first preference (wud be good to experience fishing from a canoe before buyin a kayak).

sounds like it shud be a great day, id definately be up for having a BBQ or something afterwards, maybe even have a bit of a landbased fish while im there.

thanks guys

proceed down M1 to exit 71 turn right at lights into Connection rd, cross Nerang river and turn left at second set lights into Price street which turns into Beaudesert - nNerang road, continue into nNerang - Murwillimbah rd , turn left into aAdvancetown road and this will leas right to boat ramp. Note there are a couple of tight turns on Advanvetown rd. The UBD reference for the ramp is 36.j.5 in the later series.

Also try a Wheris search on sSensis for Advancetown rd and you should be able to get a printout with directions and estimated travel time from your home.

Gerty: Cheers mate. Ill see what i can do.

Everyone: We thought to make it a little bit compeititive without really being so, we will chuck in a couple of BRC caps for the longest and best bass of the day. I wont go into that anymore as it will just be a discression thing.

Hey everyone.

I had a good chat with Steve yesterday.

We have made some calls to make the day run smoother.

As we want to be ont the water ASAP could everyone please go to this link

Here you will find the required registration form.

If you could please bring this filled out on the day it will save filling out 24 there.

Also could everyone please pay me on the day. I will then pay Steve the total ammount with a ticked off check list. Basically he is just leaving it up to me to make sure everyone has paid, and if not who has not!

The price is actually $60 by the way not $65 just so you know.

Steve has also asked me to ask you how many will be using there own gear? He can supply everyone, but if some of you are not going to use his gear anyway no point bringing it.

After the Hinze Dam fishing trip Steve will be going to a private dam on the way home near Oxenford. This dam is stocked with Nile Perch and he has asked if we want to work out how to catch them. There are apprantly BBQ's at this dam. Just thought id throw that spanner out there.

See you all @ 7:00am on the 18th March.

b]There is 3 in my party - we require 2 of Steve's Rods and shrimp please. No Canoe needed.

About the private dam - Heck yeah - I'll be there. Problem is the time of day. The perch will be asleep. I wonder how late we can stay? Late arvo from 5pm would be best.

Gerty - On the day is fine mate. The idea is just not to have loads of people coming up to Steve as he will have enough stuff to do. Plus ill keep a check list as i know more of the guys.

Brian - No worries mate. In regards to the Perch, i dont know how long we can stay. Feel free to discuss with him on the day though.

Ray and Graham will have own gear but will need shrimp also will byo sausages for barby and will like to go to private dam also.

I heard that dam level has risen so dont know how that will affect fishing. I also have annual permit no 6694 expires 21/1/08 so that may save steve some money

Alex and I will bring our own tackle, just need bait.

Visit to private Dam will depend on how much parking they have there!

From what I understand Nile Perch not only look like Barra, but fishing technique is similar.
