Latest edition to my ever increasing tackle collection,

A Daiwa Luvias rod 8-14lb $229

and a pair of Maui Jims Glass Polarised $245

Cant wait to test them out.

I see you went for the MJ's mate, how good are they! I wish i had the money to replace mine. Since owning them (and wrecking them, only cos i wore them to work) going back to cheap alternatives I can really feel the difference SO HEAVY!.

It was an impulse Buy, I am happy with the Maui Jims,

But I think I would have been happy with almost any of the "Glass Polarised"

brands available.

MJ's have a $110 lens replacement deal, I am liking that.

3 Brand new Eziguide self aligh boat loading guide $60 . Worth $140.

4 Berkley live bait tank and pump $70.

5 Couple rod holders 20c each.

6 Misc pulleys,stainless d shackles,rope jams etc 20c each.

Market was very big I spent 3 hours walking around. Ran into Ty there who was looking and drooling.

He was a bit disappointed when we saw someone loading a tinney on to his roofrack and when we asked him how much he replied $200. It would have been a great dam boat.

here's another that just got dellivered... P1000913.JPG

Very nice lookin reel bud, are they expensive? (looks it)

NM LOL just checked ebay! :woohoo:

Do you think they worth the coin?

Hahaha :D

yeah they're pretty exxy. To tell you the truth I haven't really been able to push the limits with it too much. Its got 4lb braid on it and I caught a 35cm Jack on it the other week... thats been about it really. It performed flawlessly on that. It is a very well built reel though. Solid, balanced and sounds awesome when the drag goes off.

Is it worth it?? each to their own but to me... for the price I got it at... yep :) I still like my shimano Stella though :)

Interesting. What's the point of the offset handle on a rod that size ?

Megabass slant bridge. More of a luring rod Brian, it has a few uses. The extra length can help balance the weight when using big lures, you can also use both hands to cast and the kink is there so that the butt stays clear of your forearm when twitching the rod. I'm sure there are few other uses for them?

I've often had a few of my rod butts bash up against my elbow when jigging and it can get annoying at times especially if you're aggressively working the lure. Needless to say after I found out how much these rods cost I stayed well away, I think I can put up with a bit of elbow bashing for a little while longer.

Cheers

Eug

P.S. Very sweet combo, that should handle the big ones no problem! Good buy!
