queensland River bashing part 2

I'll keep this short as I'm tired as and need some sleep....

Headed out at 5:30am to a little spot I know. Me old man decided to take a day of work to come and check out me little spot we ended up with 14 blue swimmers with only 4 keepers(probably more but they looked skinny) and 1 good size tailor and 9 flathead...The odd catch of the day was a 47cm stargazer and a hell bent smoking run on the prawnstar lure which cut me bad on my finger and then snapped me off...

Over all a great day out.....

14.blue swimmers (4 keepers)

9. flathead 63,58,54,54,49,45,44,44,42cm

1. 47cm star gazer

Nice catches mate. Seems like flatties are copping a real hammering at the moment. That cut looks like you got hammered...one of those cuts that you kinda enjoy having.

No mate I dont use handlines...Rods only..I just had me finger on the line as the lure dropped to the bottom feeling for any bites when it got smash. The line cut me as the fish took off taking drag...It happened so fast..:pinch:

Mate theres lots more where they came from....

This spot I have been working is just loaded with flatheads......
