After the 2011 Winter Camp I am really looking forward to the State Of Origin this year. Another very social event although quite a bit more competitive as well.

Just wondering if anyone else is registering for this that has not done so yet?

For anyone interested in breaking into the AFO scene this event is ideal as there is A LOT of fishing but also a fair bit of chin wagging around the camp site and friendly banter.

To register, review prize lists, rules etc go to the Competitions Tab at the top of the page and scroll down to "State Of Origin".

Cheers.

Was thinking we are going to camp on Crusoe or South Straddy. A Queenslander & a New South Welshman fishing from the same boat. Should be interesting. for those who are considering going fishing down the coast at all during anytime of the comp should really just enter. The amount of people I've spoken to post comp that if they had registered, they would have won is stupid.

even if its a last minute call to go fishing, put your entry and registration in. You're at no disadvantage if you don't stay overnight. Thats just the social part...everyone is too busy boozing.

Kris is in a cabin with me.

iam campin site 29,its gunna be a hooot :woohoo:

thats pretty cool about live music.

Awesome Mick! Glad you will be there. The line up is great it will be one of those very memorable events.

If you are new to or just wanting to get in more with some of the AFO regulars and personalities can I strongly suggest you enter this.

I had one person mention they didnt think they were a good enough angler which is just not good enough :P There are lucky door prizes and some random captures always take out a place. Not to mention a lot of socialising and from experience some firm fishing friendships forged.

Really looking forward to fishing this! Just a quick question, do we have to be at Friday mornings briefing or is there one every day? What's the go? I'll probably organise to have Friday off anyway to maximize fishing time :)

Its all good if you rock up Saturday we will give another briefing.

The main advantage of being there friday I guess is more fishing time!
