Hi just a little sharing ..

Went fishing with Kiara yesterday used a 25 lb main line with 150 lb trace and a size 4 hooks as well as a small live cattie for shark bait. The fish took the bait and ran into snag forcing us to cut and tie the line down so we can come and get the fish and shark rig back . But when we went back during low tide.. this is what i found, the Hook is deform (bended) by the fish and spilt out..... Realli unbelievable tht a fish could have bend it so badly . Any similar experienceS?

I've had quite small fish bend 4/0 hooks. It was quiet common in western queensland for yellow belly around 40 -50cm to straighten a 4/0 hook on 50lb set lines (caught the odd one still just hooked on really bent hooks), the heavy line makes it easy for the fish to bend the hook, as there is no stretch in the mono when it hits it hard.
