State of Origin Game 3 at ‘The Cauldron’

Four more sleeps… :) 7 in a row!... Bring it ON Queenslanders!!! :woohoo:

Qlds` 17 now set…

Darius Boyd Petero Civoniceva Cooper Cronk Matt Gillett Ben Hannant

Justin Hodges Greg Inglis Nate Myles Dane Neilsen Corey Parker

Matt Scott David Shillington Cameron Smith Brent Tate Ben Te’o

Sam Thaiday Johnathan Thurston

Sadly for the ‘coal train’ 2 average huffs without much puff = goneski!

Bad luck for Matty Bowen missing out, but I think this is a very balanced side to go into the decider with.

Bringing in Te`o may be the tonic to remind some of our established forwards that ‘The Cauldron’ is bell-ringing time.

Oh, almost forgot…:lol: the blues 18- with 1 to be punted..

Greg Bird Todd Carney Ben Creagh Robbie Farah Paul Gallen Tim Grant

Jarryd Hayne Michael Jennings Luke Lewis Brett Morris Josh Morris

Mitchell Pearce Beau Scott Brett Stewart James Tamou Anthony Watmough Tony Williams

Once again Stuart has reverted to using only 2 specialist props :) ,and no doubt will use Gallen there at stages.

Interesting blue group, a reasonable scattering of grubs and thugs :pinch: , tossed in with a couple of brain explosions waiting to happen :) , maybe an excess gathering of individual schemers (for a team sport),and rounded off with a couple who can suffer from self control insufficiencies :P (also known as ‘good one, dumb one..).

They have a good gathering of individual backs, but they don`t look ‘team balanced’, if Qld bring their ‘A’ game (which has been missing in games 1 & 2) it`s 7 in a row :woohoo: and Rickys` off to coach Canberra or the Chooks in 2013 :cheer:

Why is Gillett still in Qld's side ? IMO he has been even more disappointing than Taylor. Has Mick Crocker retired from rep duties or sumfin' ? Will Petero be involved for more than 5 minutes each half this time ?

NSW - not enough room for two Morris's I predict and Tony Williams will be the man to watch (one of them anyway lol)

I was watching the broncs and cronula fri night the cronula coach must of told his forwards to do the same as nsw because the amount of head highs and face gougeing was bad. number 13 and smith for cronula were the main offenders, the refs were asleep, whats the use of a rule if you dont enforce it.This is why less and less women will let thier kids play.

If Teo runs on first up for Qld he will cop it and they will be after Inglis but in a more sneaky way as he is used to big games.

Q1.. He`s taller than Matty Bowen :P

He can play anywhere from the centres to prop,if needed. For games 1&2 he was probably instructed to be safe and don`t think, be there if needed.

Expect more from him this game.He was picked for Cronks bench spot, but I would hazard a guess that,he may be being groomed to be a ‘Dallas Johnson type’ lock for future Qld & Bronco spots, because wear & tear along with age will be against Harrison & Parker soon. :(

Q2 do not know if he ‘officially’ retired, but he is playing better footy now than he was prior to his failed attempt to go to English super league.

Q3 Yep, expecting 10 huge mins each half from Petero this game.

If Williams, Inglis and/or Te`o end up on the same side of the field at bell ringing time, it should add extra spices to the pot.

Dino…yes the Sharks certainly brought up an overtly brutal and grubby game plan, credit to the Broncos for stepping up and not backing down, even with 3 injuries down , although 2 of them may not remember much about the game.

A Broncos v Sharks finals play off may have some extra meaning to it.

I heard yesty on the Sunday Footy show that they have been swapped sides, Jarryd Hayne has gone to right wing with Josh and brett moved to the other.

Qld needs to improve there kicking game that was the big thing in my opinion our 5th tackles were very poor I agree gillet has done nothing in the last two games and think Bowen and Crocker would have been much better choices in the side as Bowen is playin the best out of any fullback in the game on current form hopefully the home field advantage should get behind them

Edward was at school this morning and the teacher asked all the children what their fathers did for a living. All the typical answers came out, Fireman, Policeman, Salesman, Chippy, Captain of Industry etc. But Edward was being uncharacteristically quiet and so the teacher asked him about his father.

"My father is an exotic dancer in a gay club and takes off all his clothes in front of other men. Sometimes if the offer is really good, he'll go out with a man, rent a cheap hotel room and let them sleep with him."

The teacher quickly set the other children some work and took little Edward aside to ask him if that was really true.

"No" said Edward, "He plays football for NSW State of Origin side, but I was just too embarrassed to say."

One more sleep...

Two NSW supporters going to an Origin match were taking a short cut through the local cemetery when they happened upon a headstone that read:

"Here lies John Sweeney, a great man and a QLD fan."

One asked the other: "When the hell did they start putting three people in one grave?"

should i call u jarryd or paul gallon!

Mate that call was fair. That ref (dont even remember his name) was inconsistent against both teams the whole game, he would just claim "he saw nothing" or "that has already happened it doesnt count".

NSW got penalties from him too, if you guys lost you would be up in arms about it.

Greg inglis should have recieved a penalty on the try line when only the post stopped him. NSW held him for way too long which then forced the error. or what about the knock on that actually went back ??????

I dont care, we won. and we will next year as well. i cant wait!

Queensland on brink of greatness: Daley

Source: http://www.nrl.com/queensland-on-brink-of-greatness-daley/tabid/10874/newsid/68402/default.aspx

Wayne Heming AAP Tue, Jul 03, 2012 - 3:40 PM

Former NSW captain Laurie Daley claims the current crop of Queenslanders can lay claim to being State of Origin's best if they win Wednesday's series decider without Darren Lockyer or Billy Slater.

For the first time since kick-starting their Origin domination in 2006, the Maroons will take to the field without either Lockyer or Slater in the side.

"I really believe this is the biggest challenge this Queensland side has faced with no Lockyer and no Billy," Daley,

"If they win this game they can quite rightly claim this era of players is the best, just on what they've had to go through."…

Mate il be the first to admit that qld got some dodgy and soft calls, so did the blues.

That ref tony archer is just a bad ref, he isn't bias, he doesn't pick on anyone he is just a shocking ref...time for his retirement

I was talking about the other Ref, not tony.

This is why they need to just get rid of the lot of them.
