electric anchor

I getting sick of climbing throught the cuddy cabin hatch to anchor and retrieve the anchor. Does anyody know anything about a electic anchor setup.

Boat: 5.5 metre Stessco cuddy Cab.

All i know is that it will cost you alot and you will need a decent battery.

This is an idea on pricing, you will need to pay 1295 and i think thats a good price to start with.

Im expecting approx $2500 installed.

There is already dual 100 amp hour batteries in the boat.

You could probably get it to about 1800 with one of those ones from Bias. How hard would the install be?

For a boat your size about $500 - $600 will get you an anchor windlass and if you make sure you have your motor running when whinching these's no need for a huge battery

Tried an anchor retrieving bouy? they work real well.

Yep have a retrieval bouy. Works well.

But still use the hatch to pull anchor in.

And actually not to lazy to pull anchor in but to fat to fit through hatch. hehe
