Off to a slow start out at NPD this morning with the fish missing in action. :S

But not for long, a little bit of rattling the rods and calling them in and I was back in action. Managed a nice yella and several bass at spot one then moved over to spot 2 and was into the action right away. Ice jigs let me down today with only a few taken on them.

Anyhow managed 98 bass, one yella and a turtle to make up the 100.

At one stage I looked to my left to see an island of birds floating past.

Also there was tillies floating everywhere all over the dam, dont know if they died from something or somebody.

You report the dead Tillies ? worth getting some fresh or still dying ones for pathology not much will kill Tillies this time of year.

They were from upstream somewhere I,ll check again in the next day or so.

Okay thanks Denis this happened last year about the same time and seemed to be only Tilapia, have informed relevant departments anything that kills only Tilapia is worth investigating.

Man the yellas all seem fat as in North Pine at the moment... Is it all roe?

Looks like Angus, although I had to take one home couple of weeks ago that rolled over and it was all fat no roe.
