Round 17 results

Thursday September 3

Broncos 12  v  25 Panthers
So, the score line reflects that on the night the Broncos were a smidgen off being half as good as the competition leaders…

and just for the ‘general knowledge buff`s’ out there who enjoy the fundraising Quiz Nights at their local sports club, this Broncos outfit has now chiselled their immortality into ‘Bronco Club history’ by being the first team to lose 14 games in a season and the first to lose 8 regular season matches in a row.

Friday September 4

Knights 38  v  10 Sharks
Honestly…. the Sharks were already flake fillets long before Townsend`s brain explosion, the Knights just hadn`t packed and froze them, at that time…..

Rabbitohs 16  v  22 Storm
These Bunnies needed a 60 minute battery change.

Saturday September 5

Bulldogs 14  v  18 Titans
hmmm,  Titans beat the bottom of the ladder team.

Sea Eagles 32  v  34 Tigers

TIGERS ROARED

Raiders 6 v  18 Roosters

The Roosters ****-a-doodle-dooed, the Raiders

Sunday September 6

Warriors 18  v  24 Eels
Watching this game play out shows the Eels finals play off campaign will not last too long

Cowboys 23  v  22 Dragons

If NQ was a separate State, tomorrow would be declared a Public Holiday…

I've been ousted from the top 3. Well done @Towknee on the perfect 8.

Thanks @ellicat, i surprised myself with the perfect t 8. Must of been my weekend, as I also  picked the 6 point margin in the south’s game!

Listening to the pre game show, I almost changed my pick to the dragons.

At least you’ve got an excuse. My boat has been gathering dust.

Yeah, but you did get to Fraser. I've only had mine out once in the last 3 weeks I think. Weather hasn't been kind. I'm keen for another run to Curtain when it's doable in my little tub.

I guess the big round 18 question is.. can this Bronco team enter themselves into Bronco club history again, by being the first Bronco team to be beaten twice in the one season by the Titans....

They are gonna come good... hopefully...

Round 18 results

Thursday September 10

Tigers 24  v  26 Rabbitohs

Hmmm. if the Tigers had started the game 5 minutes before the official kick off they would have won…they just ran out of time.

Friday September 11

Bulldogs 20  v  32 Sea Eagles
The Warriors moved lock, stock and barrel to the land of Oz to enable season 2020 to be restarted….Kudos to the Doggies they have kept the restarted season going, by not throwing their hands up and staying in their kennels…

Panthers 20  v  2 Eels
yeah well… No one expected the Eels to be any chance, and no one expected the black cats to make it so hard on themselves.

Saturday September 12

Dragons 8  v  37 Raiders

 Raiders won…

Titans 18  v  6 Broncos
fancy that, this Broncos outfit again enters the club`s history records, first Broncos side to be beaten  by the Titans twice in one season.

Roosters 42  v  12 Knights

Resting Ponga wasn`t the 30 point difference…

Sunday September 13

Storm 36  v  20 Cowboys

Hmmm.. so the Storm had a few defensive lapses… Bellamy would like that, heading into the finals

Sharks 22  v  14 Warriors

Warriors, what can one say… they lost another winnable one

Weelll, who'd have thunk the dogs could chase the bunnies down their hole.

That puts the broncs on the bottom.

Even though I am long time Broncos supporter, I reckon the spoon is what they deserve this season. The Dogs have given their all in most games and the for and against difference tells the tale. Mad Monday can’t come soon enough for Brisbane this year.

Wash your mouth out! How dare you talk truth to the Broncos.

Yeah Jamie got it right, was sort of thinking along the same lines,

been expecting an upset but wasn't game to risk it.

Even surprised myself with the 10 points considering I haven't watched a full game

of footy since origin 2004., only watch the highlights on the news or if chasing the score.

Yeah Steve, They've been putting in the effort but the cards haven't been

falling right for them. Wont hurt the broncs to take a turn stirring that big wooden

spoon for a while.

What do you win @kmcrosby78 for winning the tipping comp? A new boat? If so, and the other participants have to pay for it, I am just advising everyone that someone stole my login details and entered the comp under my name.

i wouldn’t mind so much, but whoever they are totally sucks at footy tipping.
