pink grubbing

Hellcat Dan

Recommended Posts

definitely works, exciting too watch bream fight over it, takes a bit to understand how to improve your strike rate. more small to average size fish caught near the shore line, then every once in awhile the mother of all breams smashes it from under the jettys/pontoons. seen tomcat dan catch 35-40cms on them. Maybe an idea to use technique to get first 5 in the bream torno this coming weekend Hint...Hint

Kevin, this isn't the thread for you to get involved in :) .

You can use any colour Grass Minnow, they all work. It's just Kris Hickson used on in an AFC round on the Hawksbury and it was Pink, now every top water plastic has to be Pink. The only reason it's Pink is so he can see it. If you want a good Shrimp imitation be sure to check out the new Ecogear PX45.

The PX45 is worked just like a Smith Towadi or Tiemco Pencil, walk the dog. Though the PX45, VX35/45, SX40/48 and CK40 have all been designed by Ecogear's Japanese Pro Staff specifically for Bream angling. All other Japanese Hardbodies you often see used on Bream are designed for Trout, which is why they often come with soft hooks which the Bream demolish. This is why all Ecogear lures come with Owner ST36's as they are the most common treble for Bream. But you still have to be careful as these hooks are a freshwater hook so a quick wash down and drying after use is essential if you want to keep them tip top. Keep an eye out for the new Ecogear MX48 as well. A new diving Minnow.

Angus, how many of the Bass swallowed the VX? :P .

Rob, you just couldn't help yourself could you  .
