NPD Arvo 10 July 08

Not too much to report from NPD this afternoon.

Jase and I headed over at about 3.00pm and tried in vain to locate the elusive schools. We hit McGavin's first and cast there for 1.5 hours with spinners, slugs and vibes for nothing.

Hoping for a change of fortune, we drove back to the first carpark to catch the last sunshine before it dipped over the hills. Lee and Terry bumped into us at McGavins and followed us over.

Dino was there already and had caught one 40ish fish for a few hours effort.

With dusk closing in, 5 AFOers pelted casts left, right and centre. Despite suface action out deep, Jase was the only one to come up with the goods. A sold bass of approx 40cm hooked onto his Vibe then buried him in the sunken grass. With patience and persuasion the fiesty fella hit the bank and got his photo taken.

I donated a couple of GVibes to the snags and fished a couple of hours without even a touch...not the most successful session to say the least.

Well done to Jase and Dino. It was good to catch up with Lee and Terry too, just a pity the fish didn't play the game.

Not bad for faulked when you think about it. Logs on, jags a mate for company, gets the waders on, jags a 40cm bass, smiles for the camera (not even having to wipe his hands) and then heads home.:silly: Didn't even have to write his own report.

Well done:laugh:
