Has anyone ever fallen in at the Poop Chute??

i've only been out to the poop chute once landbased. after getting up on the platform there it occured to me that it wouldn't be impossible to slip and fall into one of the two concrete pipe/canals that flow out of the poo-plant.........

anyone ever done that or have a 'friend' it's happened to??

a friend of a friend went in face first he came up with a mars bar in his mouth but he said it was a little nutty

The water that comes out of there is supposed to be cleaner than the stuff that goes into the dams

These days its certainly clean, when I was a kid it was a different story though, they used to have big primary collectors on the ends behind the culverts, there was no way you could "fall in" then, they were much higher than where you fished from.

I suppose you could have fallen off the end, but thats just the river!

what i wanna know is why when you look at it in the daytime from above sometimes, the water looks brown flowing into the river?

i know its purified water but what makes it look like liquid sewerage lol?

I dont know anyone who's fallen in but I've come close more than once when I've walked the wall all the way back to the car park at high tide. I know they say the water is really clean but the smell is certainly a bit poo like!

Yeah man its not that hard at all, theres only one hard bit where a couple of trees grow over the top a bit and you have to duck under them a bit, can be hard when you've got a back pack on and three rods!!
