queensland NPD 8/11/09 School is out.

Took Brian Dawson along for company and had a good day.

Brian started it off with a good bass followed with a 45cm yella.

Nothing much in redclaw pots. I only left them in to assist with navigation next time.

Fot onto a nice school of bass. We lost count at around 20.Had a few double hookups.Biggest bass went around 40 but all nice and fat.

Dino was there and got got a cricket score.

Yeap I do have a few tips on lures especially for the upper class lure snobs. I have been carring this $3.50 Burkley lure for about two years and refussed to use it. But today I put it on the 2nd troll line as a sacrifical lure, ready to loose it to a snag and not worry.

After a couple of fish Ray divers into his bag to dig out the exact same lure still in it's box.

He went on to get about 15 fish on it. We both kept catchiong fish on it until we both lost them to snages.

Went home after we lost the gun lures

You 2 are just on fire out there consistently getting on to fish. And well done Ray for taking a new deckie out almost each and every time you go, a real gentleman.

I am itching to get out there again. I have not had a chance due to trips away and more recently the young fellas B'day weekend. Can't go this weekend either as I will be in Newcastle. :S

Forgive my ignorance guys, it's probably really obvious to everyone else, but with the boat and everything - I thought all types of boating wasn't allowed on NPD?

Cos I've had NO luck at all casting from the bank and would love to paddle out on the canoe and put the sounder to work?!

fenelious permits were available in april and all taken, no permit no can put any watercraft on water, try next year

Might be a bit busy at the dam on the weekend, the newsletter to the permit holders has pointed out your and Dino's recent success stories!

Been pretty quite out there lately, be good to see a few using it.
