Dear Team!

Just advising of another BFo swap meet as our last one was such a success.

I will have the AFO tourny shirts for pick up for those that can make it as well.

So if you want to offload some gear, get rid of excess stock or pick up a bargain.... Be there!

Feel free to post up in this thread if you are keen to come and what you may have!

Hey Angus, I notice this park is near the Bris River, are there any fishable spots landbased there or a boat reamp?

rod

Rod there is a very fishable pontoon in the park. You could easily launch a yak there :)

There is no boat ramp. Indooroopilly or Fig Tree Pocket would be the closest.

TO be completely honest, although there is a good land based option I did not really choose this location for its fishing. This decision was based on the last swap meet. Most people really were there to catch up, socialise and get rid of or aqquire gear. Considering this I chose a place highly suited to large numbers in a great location.

I have also spoken to Rob from Searing Tackle and I will be representing him there with 100's of Damiki products at insanely low prices :)

Cheers.

How big is it? Thinking of coming

As big as we can make it!

All up to members I guess.

Last time it was fairly big with a lot of gear changing hands.

This time I will actually be repping for Rob from Searing with literally hundreds of Damiki products available at insanely low prices. More on that when I get the list of stuff that will be available.

i've been trying to get to a AFO event/social for a while now and i wanted to make this one but its on the day after my brothers 30th party down the goldie so i am no chance of being back in brisbane by 7 or 8 or even noon.

i was hoping to get down there and meet some fellow AFOer's and pick up my shirt and maybe some gear. next time.

not familiar with where this is... can someone post up a map or street name?

cheers

Mate I sent you an invite via PM. If you accept this there is actually a AFO event created (you can also view this in the calendar).

There is a link to a good map there :)

Otherwise: http://maps.google.com.au/maps?f=q&source=s_q&hl=en&geocode=&q=Jolimont+Street,+Sherwood,+Queensland&sll=-27.533454,152.976352&sspn=0.009533,0.019248&ie=UTF8&hq=&hnear=Jolimont+St,+Sherwood+Queensland+4075&ll=-27.532144,152.973987&spn=0.004766,0.009624&t=h&z=17

Hey Gus,

Will definitely be there... am bringing with me a Shimano Bantam Curado left hand wind, Shimano TSS spinning reel and a custom made Sabre designed especially for rock fishing... the TSS and the Sabre are matched.

Will post some photos later.

Also looking forward to meeting some new people, grabbing my shirt and my stickers.

Cheers

I will be there.

I think we have some old stock bimini's, would it be okay to bring those? (should be able to sort out a good deal on them). Also have some short lengths of marine carpet as well.

Mate thats exactly the sort of stuff that may appeal to someone. Bring along!

Here is a list of what I can bring. If you are after a bimini top you will need to know the width of your boat where the top will mount. The budget and deluxe top are 1m tall from the mount point and 1.8m long. Have also put up some prices and retail prices in brackets, hope this is ok.

1. Lt Blue, budget Bimini, 1.3-1.6m wide $140 ($290)

2. Lt Blue, budget bimini, 1.6-1.9m wide $150 ($300)

3. Royal Blue, budget bimini, 1.3-1.6m wide $180 ($290)

4. Royal Blue, budget bimini, 1.6-1.9m wide $190 ($300)

5. Royal Blue, budget bimini, 1.9-2.1m wide $210 ($330)

6. Navy Blue, budget bimini, 1.9-2.1m wide $210 ($330)

7. Burgundy, deluxe bimini, 1.85-2.1m wide $100 ($510)

8. White/Yellow edge, bimini style, 1.9-2.1m wide $100 ($650)

9. Budget bimini wraps, Lt Blue and Royal Blue $25 ($80)

10. Bimini Socks, $40 ($110) [measure width of top at edge of material]

11. 2x Yamaha 200/225hp 4 stroke cowl covers approximately 02 models

12. Yamaha cowl cover, probably V4 size.

13. Various pieces of grey marine carpet, one is 5m, rest are short off cuts.

I will also have some fishing gear, lures, fly rod kit, and some tackle trays and bag.

Cheers

Terry
