queensland Shrimp order for somerset?

Aaron are you still putting in a shrimp order and will you need me to pick up. Thought I would do a post rather than a PM in case anyone else wants any.O am ok still got well over 250 for myself and feral.

my only concern's how to keep them alive.

i have a 29l tank without a pump so i wonder how long i can keep them alive.

if it's ok, i will have some of these

I got mine last week and haven't lost one yet. But I have changed the water 3 times and have 2 pumps going.

yeah, they do stay alive with a pump. my problem is i don;t have a pump, haha

You can get a battery powered one for around $10 I an uncertain what rhe 240v ones are worth. I can give you a old 240v one that I have spare it is a little noisy but works ok and needs a new stone.

I f you have a supply of tank water your tank will be ok if you change the water daily just do NOT use tap water unless it has been dechlorinated or let stand for several days.

The spring water in 15 litre bottles from Woolies works for me.

Got the tip from Aaron - cheers mate but I have spent more on water then shrimp.

i buy these shrimps for one of my friend when we head to NPD. personally i won't use any live bait except bony bream( 20cm ones) but he just donno how to use a slug.

where r u located, i won;t get much as it's just one trip

so where else do i get some live shrimp if someone knows

i would have a trip to NPD this sunday probably and i need about 20 something shrimp. so all i need to do is to keep them for less than 20 hours.i would buy a elec pump if i can find it.

i live near the city so anywhere near the city will be great.

Mine have been in my tank for 5 weeks, running a standard $15 Big W 3stage filter.

I have kept them for weeks in a bucket with a surecatch aerator in the past.

You should change 10 to 15% of the water once a week if in a tank with a filter. If using an aerator only, I'd change it every few days, if you have a fair few in the container. Me I've got a rainwater tank so no problems getting water, if you dont, leave a bucket of tap water out in the sun, and overnight, (24 hours from tap) that will be enough to get the chlorine out of it.

i fed my pet fish with shrimp in China and i was never able to keep them over 24 hours.

now the problem is where to get the shrimp.
