Sorry everyone I am unfortunatley going to have to give this one a miss. My stepmother lost her fight against cancer and passed this morning. I am going to her funeral in Melbourne On Friday and will be spending some time with dad not sure when I will be back. Sorry to those I may have inconvienced.

the Shortman will be bringing 500 shrimp with him and it will be a matter of too slow, so sad. Otherwise you can buy them from the Camp Lakefire or hopefully get a few in the redclaw traps.

Bernie and I bought some redclaw traps on Sunday after seeing the size of the ones being caught atm......we stayed at camp lake fire Saturday night and only fished for an hour and the kids caught six bass, Bernie only got two spangled :woohoo: I snapped my gunslinger on a huge treefish :blush: . It was pretty warm but the water was clear and perfect temp for a swim. I could hear movement on the water all night though I didn't get around to having much of a fish.

I have purchsed 500. They arrive here Thursday.

Hopefully i can keep them alive till the social on Sunday.

They were $30 per 100 if anyone is interested.

anybody with a hankering for some landbased fishing, here are a couple of pics of the creek that feeds into Maroon Dam. Last time I went there was cold and had a fair bit of flow from recent rains, but I reckon it could be a cracker spot to get some jungle bass.

thats the idea Lance. there have been cod released into the dam, but captures are almost unheard of. I reckon they have to be hiding somewhere, and up there might be the place.
