do daiwa and shimano have the same warrenty? and do most people buy GLs just because of the warrenty?

I'm pretty sure they don't. All G.Loomis rods have the warranty.

Joel I'm not sure man.

Kevin, if you buy a G.Loomis rod, and you break it no matter how, you send it back to the company along with $150 although I think it may have gone up, and a new rod will come to you, I think you can also do it to upgrade and you get a discount of your next rod but I'm not sure about that.

dan, the rod's not that short. 6' is a sweet lenght to work jigs and slugs, the short length helps ur wist while u r shaking the lure

It also allows for more accurate casts.

cowie thats not necessarily true. You just have to master casting with longer rods.

This rod is really good for bassing at NPD. It can cast jackalls and big spinner baits with out worries. It doesn't pull hooks out of the bass at all.

and i always believe a short rod has much more sensitivity over a longer rod.

sensitivity's the most important factor when fishing in NPD imo

Tim: I know that pro's and other people can master any rod, but for people starting out with light lure casting, it is easier. imo

I've got a 7' rod and can cast relatively accuratly, but my 6'3\" rod can cast more accuratly (for me).
