Man I have wanted to go for a fish in a while just have a terrible cold today I woke up to my cowling gone 2 seperate times the stingray dogs have gotten it one day I was out having a flick off my jetty and because a tinny was driving to close at a high speed it caught in his motor probably the reason that this has happened twice I suspect it to be one of Jules Glasses friends that does not go to TSS. Wondering what I should do the cams can’t really pick up anything at night  so any info might help to stop those stingray bottom feeder scum from stealing my motor cowlings.

I park mine under a security camera, had my safety gear knocked off once so I put cameras up. 

Since I did that I haven't had a problem.

I bought the uniden solo system, comes with two camera and two solar panels for $350, some of the best money I ever spent. 

In fact I now have 6 of them around my place.

Best not to name people on a public site. Like Hamish said, take it to the police. If you get a new one, maybe mark it with a strip of bright paint to make it easier to spit if someone decides to use it.

Or use the ultra vilot paint marker with your driver's licence number on it.

Swann have WiFi HD cameras. 

 

You could have a camera on your pontoon. The data recording box is still located in the house, so even if they steal the cam, you'll still have the hard footage of them doing it. 

It will also notify you on your phone that it's picked up activity and give you a live feed. 

 

We have the hard wired units and rate them 10 out of 10.

Might be safer, and cheaper to take the motor off when not in use and store it in your garage or shed. 

Or take the cowling off after each use and put a bucket over the motor (and if you wanna get creative, dress it up like Ned Kelly).
