Recently i have been contemplating going out the GC seaway for the first time in my 4.1 tinny.Then i suddenly thought where do i go when im finally out,what do i look for. I have a Lowrance sounder,but no GPS + i want to be quite close in.Do i anchor up or drift.Plastics or bait.

Alot to think about.

Please help.

Id troll at the moment, go in to doug burts and ask em for some assistance setting up a spread, 2-3 good lures out the back trolling along at 6-7 knots should score you somethn good.

Or you could hit the aquarious wreck for some livies then back into the seaway for Jew.

I presume i would need a GPS to find aquarious wreck.

Do you need to find structure.

Depending on what time you are heading out. If about 5:30 and you head out of the seaway to the left you will see other boats catching livies on the wreck.

I haven't had any experience boating around here but I know in areas around CQ a GPS was pretty much essential. At time it was really hard to tell different parts of the coast line from distance.

Basically what I'm saying is I wouldn't go out there without one especially being new to the area.

lures are a lot easier and the choice of most this time of yr offshore
