Velcro an advatage

Went fishing with a mate who showed me a great way to store rods securely whilst in transport if you have marine carpet the hook side of Velcro tape has a death grip on it :woohoo:

Simply lay the rods on the carpet and pat a strip of Velcro over the rods (tips and butts ) they wont move and get damaged I'm going to trial a vertical mount version fom what I seen should work a treat :woohoo:

and it doesn't seem to bother the carpet when ripped off

ps just thought of another use rod storage at home cover a board with carpet bout where your clips etc would be and use a Velcro strap instead fits all sizes

I've used some strips of valcro on the back of a cutting board and the top of my esky to hold the cutting board in place. Easy to remove for cleaning etc.

Last thing I velcroed together was me to a wall at some drunken dumb pub game competition. You wear a suit of hooks and fun and jump at a vertical carpet wall, scoring points for style, hang time and height. Was fun, but dont think it assisted my abillty to start a family one day.
