Went up there primarily to get membership of sailing club.We met Dino at 8 who kindly let us in . Weather was good when we launched so we decided to troll across to platypus cliffs.

Wind started to get up as soon as we launched and the further we got out the worse it got so we turned around with the idea of tucking into Billys bay but by this time it had got up to around 15k and whitecaps everywhere.

Was too rough to try to get boat on trailer so we had to snig it up the bank and load it from the grass.

Went and got access key and stopped off at Fernvale visitor centre and picked up Yearly permit for the dam.

After paying my fees I went back down to billies bay for a shot from the bank. Managed a nice middle 40cm bass on a s/bait and before I left watched a bloke hook a lungie, he got it to the edge and then the mono line snapped.
