Well I've taken the plunge and joined the Nordic Stage club this arvo thanks to the tax man. Picked up an Nordic Stage Jaeger and put a Shimano Stradic CI4 1000 on it and will try out some Fireline Crystal 1lb, to say this combo is light would be an understatement. Hoping to blood it in the morning.

Cheers

Hmmm not sure about that one having said that it doesnt take up much room and Bonefish would be fun for sure only problem would be line capacity.

Cheers

Bone Fish is something we are trying for in New Cal next year on Nordics. We have some samples of some 9 and 10 foot 1-3 and 2-4 kg rods we are keen to put to the test on the flats :)

The new exist is alot smoother then the old one but not that much different. The drag on them are both the same. My opinon i would buy the old exist becasue its alot cheaper and have very similar specs(i also have the old exist 2500 too) but the new exist look way way nicer thats the only reason i brought it. If i was you i would buy the 2510r just because its smaller.

I had to replace the hull of my Revo recently and have taken a little time to re-fit it.

I went into Bias Boating to take advantage of their recent 15% discount on a Lowrance Elite 4 DSI - normal retail $450, with discount $382. Unfortunately everyone else had the same idea and none of their stores had any left. Not to be deterred I asked if they would sell the display model. $340 changed hands and it is now sitting proudly on my yak.

Fantastic unit, fish finder is clear as a bell and chartplotter is a new experience for me but I'll get used to it soon enough.

I should be able to keep up with her now, but we'll have to work on you a bit longer ... you'll out-fish her some day mate. :woohoo:

what happened to the old revo hull baden?

1st Hull: crack in the seat. Started at the female socket end where you plug the seat in ran 3-4 inches across the seat.

Result - new hull thanks to Sunstate Hobie. Upgraded to the new expanding plugs for the seat.

2nd Hull: crack in both female socket ends - 3 or 4 splits in each socket.

Result - new hull thanks to Sunstate Hobie. Upgrade to new reinforced twist lock plugs for the seat.

So old seat, paddle, wheels, angler. New 2012 hull... WIN.

Mal and the folk at Sunstate have been absolute champs each and every time we've had a problem or needed a service. Can't fault them.

Same YUM-YUM yellow colour, attracts sharks and the ladies.

I love my gear as much as the next fisherman but I really can't see how that many reels of similar size can be useful
